A little unsure? Here’s some FAQ’s

What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is Pilates that takes place on the Reformer Machine. It is a bed that moves and has a foot bar, springs, and straps. Reformer Pilates can be at times more comfortable for people as it is not as low on the ground like Mat Pilates. For more information on reformer Pilates or any other style of class on the timetable look at the description when you go to book a class.
What to bring to class?
-Socks are compulsory in all classes and grippy socks are recommended for classes such as reformer, Barre, jump board, and Mat Pilates. Grippy socks allow you to complete the full movement of each exercise without having to worry about slipping and sliding. We have grippy socks for purchase in the studio just come in 5 to 10 minutes before your class starts time to pick and purchase a pair.

-Wear comfortable activewear.

-A drink bottle is recommended that way you can hydrate during class. We sell bottled water in studio if you forget your drink and would like to purchase.

Can I do Pilates if I have an injury and or I am Pre or Postnatal?
Injury: Yes, you definitely can, as long as you have medical clearance from a medical professional to attend a Pilates class. Pilates is a low-impact exercise option and great for improving pain in the body. It is important you let the instructor know of any injuries you may have or that may arise before class. Please come in 5-10 minutes early to speak with the instructor as at times modifications may be needed for you and if that is the case, they will run you through them before class starts. No doubt you will love Pilates and it will help you feel better. Please note we run GROUP fitness classes only not 1 on 1 sessions.

Prenatal: Yes, if you have medical clearance from your medical practitioner to exercise. You can attend any of the classes on the timetable (although jump board reformer is not recommended*). Let the instructor know you are expecting, and they can help you with any slight modifications that might need to be made. Pilates is a great form of exercises while pregnant.

Postnatal: Yes, once you have medical clearance from your medical practitioner stating you can exercise again. We even run a minis and me class where you can bring your bub along.
